The most common batteries are open-vessel lead batteries which require maintenance as the level of sulfuric acid decreases during the electrolysis process and therefore it is necessary to add distilled water in order to maintain high performance. In recent years, lead batteries have been applied to new construction types such as AGM and GEL which have the enormous advantage of requiring no maintenance, therefore they are indicated and are widely used in all those applications where access is difficult. The latest batteries available on the market are lithium batteries, which are now very widespread and which have various strengths compared to lead batteries .. the most obvious is the weight, in fact lithium batteries weigh less than half compared to lead batteries. .but the biggest advantage of using lithium batteries is the duration over time, in fact the number of life cycles of a lithium battery is about 10 times greater than a lead acid battery. Finally, we also have super capacitor batteries that are not yet widespread but which aim to change the world of accumulators as they would guarantee approximately one million charge-discharge cycles.
