The BYD Battery-Box HVM+ is a modular high-voltage energy storage system consisting of 3 Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery modules, each rated at 2.76 kWh (51.2 V), connected in series, a Battery Management System (BMS), and a base unit, providing a total usable capacity of 8.28 kWh.
The system is fully modular and can be expanded by connecting up to 3 identical HVM+ battery towers in parallel, achieving a maximum storage capacity of 66.2 kWh, making it suitable for both residential and commercial energy storage applications.
The latest Battery-Box HVM+ generation introduces significant improvements over the previous HVM series. The new Battery Control Unit (BCU) is fully compatible with HVB, HVS+, and HVM+ battery modules, offering greater flexibility for new installations and future system expansions.
A new automatic State of Charge (SOC) balancing calibration eliminates the need for manual battery calibration during initial commissioning or when expanding the system.
Installation has also been simplified with new plug-in power and communication connectors for the BMS, significantly reducing installation time. System commissioning is carried out via a dedicated installer app, while an intuitive customer app allows end users to monitor system performance in real time.

Important Notes
The Battery-Box HVM+ is not compatible with components from the previous HVM generation.
Commissioning requires the new BYD Energy App with the latest firmware installed (version 1.28.0 or later).
During installation, the supplied RJ45 data bus termination connector must be fully wired and properly installed.
